We ended May with a return visit from the fabulous Severn Arts Music Bus. We love nothing more than seeing inter-generational fun taking place at Clent Connect, and this is exactly what happened at our final hub cafe of the month, as Severn Arts rolled their Music Box back into the Clent Connect car park for this free – and much anticipated – session.

It was a very popular morning, with visitors coming from across the region – and one family as far as Bristol – coming to make noise and get creative.
Families with children of all ages were invited to climb aboard and discover the joy of digital music-making, with hands-on access to drum machines, synthesisers, an electric guitar, DJ decks, and a vocal booth. No previous experience was needed, and the results were brilliant fun!
Severn Arts leads Worcestershire’s Music Education Hub, funded by Arts Council England, bringing music-making to schools and community venues – and we are beyond proud that they chose to come back to Clent Connect to help widen access to the arts for our village’s young people. When they bring that provision to a location like Clent, they’re ensuring that geography really is no barrier to creativity.
Thank you to the Severn Arts team, for making the journey to us and for giving our community such a memorable morning. Events like this are fantastic for all, and we hope it won’t be the last time the Music Box parks up outside the Hub.
